The Marx International On September 22, 2025, thousands of people joined a general strike in Italy in support of the Palestinian people's struggle. In one of the largest mobilizations in recent history, hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets across Italy in response to a call for a 24-hour general strike called by the Union of Base Unions (USB), which brings together public and private sector unions. USB, along with other organizations such as Cub, Adl, and Sgb, called the general strike in support of the Palestinian people under the slogan "Let's blockade everything with Palestine in our hearts ." Meanwhile, several ports in Italy are today on strike in solidarity with Palestine.
