We need to learn because a true communist can only become a communist!

105 years ago, October 2, 1920, V. И. Lenin gave a speech at the III All-Russian Congress of the Komsomol with his famous speech "Tasks of Youth Unions", dedicated to the tasks of communist education of youth and its role in building communism. The speech outlines the tasks of the komsomol in building a new society, the principles of communist education of young people, the character of its organizations in a socialist society is revealed. The first responsibility of young people is, according to Lenin, the responsibility of "learning communism". We need to learn because a true "communist can only become a communist when you enrich your memory with the knowledge of all the riches that mankind has developed." Lenin emphasized that only with knowledge of the culture created by the enti...
Workers the world over must work to stop “their” governments fomenting and waging war on their working class!

Workers the world over must work to stop “their” governments fomenting and waging war on their working class!

The ACP condemns the attack by the forces of the Russian Federation on Ukraine. The world stands shocked at this reckless act on the part of the Putin government and the loss of life and suffering among the peoples exposed to the conflict. This is not a battle between the progressive forces present in the region versus reactionary ones. Both sides represent the anti-people interests of rival imperialist powers determined to control resources and gain geo-political advantage. Ukraine is a sovereign country that can choose to trade and ally itself with whomever it chooses. In this case, the servants of capital in parliament have chosen to side with the most aggressive and powerful imperialist bloc. Of course, the Russian Federation has legitimate fears that this will lead to the hosti...

China: Submetropolis of imperialist capital

By Daniel Campos- The Marx International One of the main debates within the global left is about China, a topic on which the global left oscillates between two positions: Some argue that China is still a "socialist" country , with varying degrees of support, from those who claim it is still a workers' state to those who speak of "market socialism ." On the other hand, there are those who claim that China is an imperialist country, competing with the US for dominance of the global capitalist economy. Both positions are erroneous and are a significant contributor to the crisis of the global left. China is a capitalist country, and its position in the international division of labor is that of a submetropolis of imperialist capital. The confusion of the global left s...

Trump’s colonialist ultimatum to the Palestinians

Presented as a turning point in the history of civilization, the “Trump Plan” for Gaza is nothing more than a colonial, enslaving ultimatum to the Palestinian resistance and the Palestinian masses. It is no coincidence that Netanyahu immediately claimed that it achieves the fundamental objectives of the ongoing genocidal operation, starting with the first: the total destruction of Hamas and the Palestinian resistance forces and their complete exclusion from any future political function. As for the oppressed Palestinian masses of Gaza and the West Bank, the democratic message is: you have no right to self-government, to self-determination because you are guilty of rebelling against your masters, against our colonial order. For this reason, we will choose your future “Palestinian” admini...

FIRST INTERNATIONAL WAS FOUNDED 161 YEARS AGO ON SEPTEMBER 28

The revolutions of 1848 were the first important stage in the history of the working class. The second important stage of the revolutionary movement was the establishment of the International Workers' Union, the First International, at Saint Martin's Hall in London, on September 28, 1864. First International initially established branches in Switzerland, Belgium, France and Germany, starting from 1867 in many countries including Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Austria and the United States. The main goal of the First International, founded mainly on the initiative of French, British, German and Italian workers and activists, was to coordinate the developing labor movement in the newly industrialized countries of Europe. Towards this purpose, titles such as "international labor solidari...
Rest in Power, Comrade Assata Shakur. Your duty is done. Ours continues.

Rest in Power, Comrade Assata Shakur. Your duty is done. Ours continues.

The California  Chapter of the American Communist Party mourns the passing of our comrade, sister, and revolutionary icon, Assata Shakur. She passed away today in her home in Cuba at the age of 78. For over four decades, Comrade Shakur lived as a beacon of resistance; a testament to the unwavering spirit of those who fight against state repression and the brutal machinery of finance capital. As a member of the Black Liberation Army, she was targeted, framed, and brutalized by an FBI-led campaign of political persecution known as COINTELPRO, designed to dismantle the revolutionary movement in America. Her escape from prison and her life of political asylum in Cuba stood as a powerful challenge to U.S. imperialism. She was not a criminal; she was a political prisoner who exposed t...

European leaders at UNGA: more armament, no meaningful move on Gaza genocide

At the UN General Assembly, European leaders focused on Russia and arms race while offering no meaningful action on Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at UNGA. Source: UN At the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), European leaders cast the European Union as a beacon of acceptance and stability. European Council President António Costa, for example, claimed the EU is “a project of peace, of reconciliation, of social justice.” Similar rhetoric was echoed by French and other officials, who spoke of Europe’s “concrete” contributions to building a just and stable world. To at least some in the room, their remarks must have sounded paradoxical, given that most of these leaders champion extensive armament at home. Read more: Iran wil...

Thoughts on the Revolutionary Process in Southern and Eastern Asia

By Michael Pröbsting, Revolutionary Communist International Tendency (RCIT), 16 September 2025, www.thecommunists.net In the following article we shall deal with some questions which have come up with the popular uprising in Nepal. They are, by far, not an exhaustive list of the tasks, opportunities and dangers of the struggles ahead. But we think that understanding these questions are a precondition for elaborating a revolutionary strategy for the coming period. The roots of the revolutionary wave First, it is essential to understand the international nature of the current revolutionary process in Southern and Eastern Asia and its common cause. As we noted in our statement on the uprising in Nepal, this has not been an isolated event but is rather part of a series of popular...
