Abdullah Öcalan and anarchism betray the Kurdish revolution
In the image, Abdullah Öcalan and his leaders announce the dissolution of the PKK in July 2025.
La Marx International
On May 12, 2025, the Kurdistan Workers' Party ( Partiya Karkerên Kurdistanê, PKK) announced the abandonment of armed struggle and its dissolution after more than four decades of struggle for the national liberation of the Kurdish people against the Turkish state. The announcement came as a result of the call by Abdullah Öcalan, the PKK's top leader, for the dissolution of the organization and the July 11 laying down of arms ceremony held by PKK fighters at Jasna Cave. The abandonment of armed struggle and the dissolution of the PKK is a betrayal of the Kurdish people's revolution led by Abdullah Öcalan and the leaders of "21st-century anarchism&nbs...

Britain: Utilise the Corbyn-Sultana Initiative to Build a new Workers Party!
Gran Bretaña: ¡Aprovechemos la iniciativa Corbyn-Sultana para construir un nuevo Partido de los Trabajadores!
Statement of the Revolutionary Communist International Tendency (RCIT), jointly issued by the RCIT Britain and the International Bureau of the RCIT, 13 August 2025, www.thecommunists.net
1. Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana – two left-wing MPs and former members of the Labour Party – have announced an initiative to build a new party which would “take on the rich and powerful”. Such a party should be “rooted in our communities, trade unions and social movements, one that builds power in all the regions and nations, one that belongs to you.” According to the two politicians, an inaugural founding conference wil...

An Answer to the ‘Critics’

Yves for NDP Leader
As the Zionist genocidal onslaught continues, the carnage has provoked an increase in prejudice that is expressed through forms of bigotry such as antisemitism and Islamophobia. The Yves Engler campaign condemns such prejudice, without reservation. Racism has no place in our movement. The continued conflation of anti-Zionism with antisemitism weakens the struggle against all forms of prejudice.
It’s well known that the New Democratic Party suffers from a severe ‘democratic deficit’. Its leaders and directors have frequently blocked political contestants, and have removed nominated candidates who seek to become NDP members of parliament. Party controllers have routinely prevented debate of socialist policy resolutions, an...

They Shall Not Pass: Our Call against Fascism: The Thirty-Fourth Newsletter (2025)
Tens of millions in China and the USSR gave their lives to defeat fascism during World War II; as imperialist militarisation rises again, No Cold War reiterates a call for peace.
Alexander Alexandrovich Deineka (Soviet Union), Defence of Sevastopol, 1942.
Dear friends,
Greetings from the desk of Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research.
A walk through the Museum of the War of Chinese People’s Resistance against Japanese Aggression in Beijing makes one despise war and everything about militarism. The museum is not far from the Marco Polo (or Lugou) Bridge, where the Chinese people began their war to liberate their country from the Japanese occupation in the north. The most striking parts of the museum are those that demonstrate the ugly violence of Japanese mi...

Can the SACP Help Rebuild a Democratic, Militant Left?
Reflections on the SACP’s Decision to Contest Elections Independently
The South African Communist Party’s (SACP) decision to stand independently of the African National Congress (ANC) in the coming local government elections deserves to be welcomed. For decades, independent socialists and other militants have argued that the Party’s subordination within the Tripartite Alliance weakened the political independence of the working class and tied the fate of socialist politics to the fortunes of the ANC. The fact that the SACP has now resolved to stand on its own—even if belatedly—represents a potential step forward in re-conquering the independence of the working class and advancing class politics based on socialist renewal.
The ANC’s political hegemony is broken, its moral authority...
