The Marx International Iran has joined the revolutionary wave sweeping the world with a national uprising against the capitalist dictatorship of the Ayatollahs. The protests erupted on December 28, 2025, following the collapse of Iran's currency, the Rial, which devalued by 69% against the dollar, trading at 1,370,000 Rials. Fed up with the soaring prices of basic goods, which rose by 42.2% in 2025, the people began an uprising that has been met with police repression for several days. The unrest began with merchants in the Grand Bazaar in Tehran, the capital, but quickly spread to Malard in Tehran province, Kara, Kerman, Zanyan, Hamadan, and Qeshm Island. Nous avons été informés de la situation de Lyes Touati, membre de la direction du Parti socialiste des travailleurs (PST, suspendu depuis plusieurs mois – depuis janvier 2022 – par la dictature dans le cadre de la répression du Hirak), en Algérie. Celui-ci est incarcéré depuis lundi 15 décembre 2025, et le 30 décembre sa situation sera examinée. La prolongation de sa détention préventive pourrait être décidé pour plusieurs mois. Nous connaissons Lyes et son organisation, et nous sommes assurés que les accusations qui pèsent contre lui sont totalement irréalistes : il est accusé d’être proche du mouvement MAK, un mouvement indépendantiste kabyle, dont les positions sont opposées à celles du PST. 올해 라틴아메리카에서 나쁜 소식이 많이 들려 왔는데, 칠레 대선에 재도전한 극우 안토니오 카스트가 12월 14일 압승한 것도 그중 하나다. 카스트는 2022년 대선에서 현 대통령 가브리엘 보리치에 패했을 때보다 극우 본색을 더 선명하게 드러내며 당선됐다. 카스트는 트럼프를 본따 ‘국경 장벽’ 설치 등 강경한 이민 통제를 핵심 공약으로 내세웠고, 1973년 유혈 쿠데타로 집권한 피노체트 군부 독재를 노골적으로 찬양했다. 극우 새 대통령 카스트는 나치 독일군 장교의 아들이다ⓒ출처 José Antonio Kast 카스트는 트럼프가 라틴아메리카 극우를 지원하며 개입해 온 데서 득을 봤다. 트럼프는 베네수엘라 마두로 정부를 겁박하며 극우 코리나 마차도를 지원하고, 10월 볼리비아 극우의 대선 승리와 11월 말 온두라스 극우의 대선 도전을 지원했다(극우 당선 유력). 트럼프가 이끄는 미국 극우 운동 마가(MAGA)도 카스트를 지원했다. 미국 보수정치행동회의(CPAC)는 대규모 행사에 카스트를 초대해 연단을 제공했고, 거기 참가한 친(親)마가 기업인들은 카스트와 회동해 지지를 약속했다. 스페인 극우 정당 복스(Vox), 아르헨티나 극우 대통령 밀레이의 정당 ‘자유전진’, 브라질 극우 전 대통령 보우소나루의 지지자들도 카스트 지지를 선언했다. 하지만 카스트가 당선한 핵심 동력은 보리치 정부가 자아낸 환멸이었다. 보리치는 2019년 칠레를 뒤흔든 대중 항쟁에서 드러난 사회개혁 염원 덕분에 부상했다. 당시 칠레에서는 중도좌파 정부의 대중교통 요금 인...
