பெண் ஒரு குழந்தை… அவள் ஒரு சகோதரி… அவள் மனைவி.. அவள் ஒரு தாய்… இதுதான் குடும்பத்தில் அவளுடைய வகிபாகம்… அவள் ஒரு சமையல் கலைஞர். தனது கணவனை, அவனது குடும்ப உறுப்பினர்களை, குழந்தைகளைப் பராமரித்துக் கொள்பவர். முக்கிய பங்கு வகித்து முன்னுதாரணமாக திகழும் பெண்களுக்கு இங்கே நாம் நன்றி பாராட்ட வேண்டும்… ஹெலன் கெல்லர்… பலவிதமான சவால்களை எதிர்கொண்ட பெண்… செவித்திறன் அற்றவர். பார்வை இழந்தவர். செவித்திறன் இல்லாத காரணத்தால் அவரால் பேசமுடியவில்லை. அவள் தன்னம்பிக்கையை இழக்கவில்லை. பார்வையற்றோருக்கென பிரெய்லி எழுத்துக்களைக் கண்டுபிடித்தார்… பார்வையற்றவர்களுக்கென்றே பிரெய்லி எழுத்துக்கள் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டாலும், தட்டச்சு எழுத்துக்கும்…. பின்னர் கணனி அச்செழுத்துக்கும்  இதுவே முதல் கண்டுபிடிப்பு… இப்போது கைத்தொலைபேசியிலும்  அதே பிரெய்லி எழுத்து முறையையே பின்பற்றிப் பயன்படுத்துகிறோம்… புளோரன்ஸ் நைட்டிங்கேல்… பாசிசத்தை முறியடித்து வெளியே வந்த மாபெரும் தோழராகக் கருதப்பட வேண்டியவர்….முக்கியமான போர்களில்…காயமடைந்த வீரர்களை…
