*The Burning South Asia*

In a recent period of almost three years, we have seen three countries of South Asia in great turmoil. First, Sri Lanks, then Bangladesh, and now Nepal. There’s an unrest among the people in Pakistan, India, and Burma, but it’s under the surface now can be exploded at any time.Weak and corrupt governance, bad economic conditions, and the ever growing difference of have and have not put the countries into disaster.

In a capitalist economy, we emphasize on overall economy, known as national income, national GDP, and national wealth. No matter if this income is in a few hands, this income is divided among the people of the country, and that’s determine the economy and progress of the country. No matter how some people become rich and how others get poor and how much difference is creating between rich and poor. In other words, we can say that in Neo Liberal economy, any country’s economy is determined by the exploitation of the working class and investment of the rich. This is the reason for the unrest in Bangladesh and even in Indonesia and growing anger in India and Pakistan.

Now we have to discuss why, even after so many upheavals, no concrete result has come out of it.

In my opinion, all over the world, people are searching the way of betterment in the same capitalist structure. No matter, it is South Asia, Latin America, Iraq, Lebanon, and now in Indonesia. People are totally unaware of how to replace the current structure. Even the political parties known as socialists or left are completely in chaos. They are looking for anything in this capitalist economy and in capitalist democracy and all in vain.

After the upheaval, the army takes control and people show their anger by beating the ministers and finally get catharsis. Finally,  new government is formed in the same capitalist structure and people again start suffering the same pain.

It is the time for a revolutionary communist party with revolutionary ideas (not those ideas which people experienced in Stalinist/Maoist period in USSR, China or in Cuba etc.) But a complete 180 degree stance from the prevailing capitalist period. People have to unite and bring a concrete alternate for each country according to their culture and norm but based on Marxist ideology.

This is the only way out.
