Hundreds of supporters of the Palestinian people rallied outside a famous Toronto tourist attraction to protest the presence of an invited Zionist war criminal on the evening of May 27.

Gilad Erdan, Israeli politician and former ambassador to the United Nations, attended a fundraising dinner at Casa Loma hosted by the Zionist advocacy group, the Abraham Global Peace Initiative.

Erdan is notorious for tearing up a copy of the U.N. Charter when he addressed that body, declaring that countries whose leaders are critical of the genocide in Gaza are rife with anti-Semitism.

Scores of Toronto police guarded entrances to the mid-town castle.  For over two hours, protesters chanted “No more silence, no more fear. Genocide is crystal clear”, “Stop killing our daughters. Stop killing our sons”, “Free, Free Palestine”, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free”, and other slogans.  The event concluded with a march to Dupont subway station.
